Travel-Ease HD folding power chair with 450 lb capacity

The Travel-Ease HD is the heavy-duty version of the folding Travel-Ease. It has a 22 in sling seat and supports riders up to 450 lbs, and it still folds for storage and for the car. Batteries are not included, so read the battery note below before you order.

• 450 lb capacity: carries riders up to 450 lbs, with a 22 in sling seat that is 18 in deep and sits 21 in off the floor
• Batteries required: it needs two Group 22NF batteries, sold separately in AGM or gel; see the Group 22NF 55Ah battery listing
• Folds to store: the frame folds, so it fits in a closet or a car trunk instead of taking up a room
• Lifts in pieces: without batteries the chair weighs 131 lbs and the heaviest piece is 86 lbs, so decide who will do the lifting before you order

Travel-Ease HD P181 daily driving and travel

The Travel-Ease HD is a rear-wheel-drive chair with 12 in foam-filled drive tires and a VSI controller. Merits rates it at 4 mph. Overall it is 46 in long, 30 in wide and 36 in tall, with a 25 in turning radius and 4.8 in of ground clearance, so measure your doorways and the trunk of your car before you order. Because the chair is sold without batteries, plan the battery purchase at the same time as the chair. If a 450 lb rating is more than you need, the standard Travel-Ease folds the same way and comes with batteries.
