The KM-5000 reclines from 90 to 163 degrees and the MVP-502 from 93 to 160 degrees. The VIP515 tilts the seat and back together from 0 to 35 degrees and folds, and the VIP2TR adds an independent 0 to 30 degree recline to the same 0 to 35 degree tilt.
The Karman KM-8520X is a 35 lb aluminum frame rated for 352 lbs, with 20 in and 22 in seat widths and quick-release rear wheels. The Emerald iCruise 11926 comes in 26, 28 and 30 in seat widths, each rated for 600 lb.
The Karman XO-101 has a push-button power-assisted sit-to-stand and is propelled manually. It weighs 56 lbs including the battery and lists a 250 lb capacity.
Start with who will propel the chair, how it will be transported and how much seating support is needed. Tilt, recline and standing features are clinical decisions, so ask your clinician or rehab technology supplier which type fits. A tilt-in-space chair tilts the seat and back together, for example 0 to 35 degrees on the Karman VIP515. A reclining chair changes the backrest angle, for example 90 to 163 degrees on the KM-5000. The VIP2TR offers both. Which type suits you is a clinical question, so ask your clinician or call us.
Several do. The VIP515 and VIP2TR list folding designs, the KM-5000 and MVP-502 have transport models with 14 in rear wheels, and the S-ATX and Flexx list folded widths of 14 in and 15 in. The iCruise folds and the KM-8520X has a folding backrest with quick-release wheels. Details are on each product page.
The KM-8520X lists a 352 lb capacity at 35 lbs, and the iCruise 11926 lists 600 lbs in 26, 28 or 30 in seat widths. The iCruise weighs 59 to 61 lbs without legrests, depending on seat width.
The KM-5000 lists 250 to 350 lbs depending on seat size, the KM-8520X 352 lbs, the Flexx 286 lbs, the S-ATX 275 lbs and the VIP2TR 255 lbs. The VIP515, MVP-502 and XO-101 list 250 lbs. Seat widths run from 14 in to 30 in depending on the model.
