Shipping information

Free Shipping on Orders $800+. Shipping is curbside to the contiguous United States, and orders under $800 ship for a flat $29.99. Most orders ship within 1-2 business days and are delivered within 3-5 business days after shipment (estimated 4-7 business days total). You will receive tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse. If you don't receive tracking within 3 business days, contact us at support@independentlivingdirect.com.

Lift chairs and UPbeds ship free with threshold delivery (porch or garage). White glove delivery (room of choice, assembly, packaging removed) can be added on their product pages for an additional charge. For other items, ask us about threshold or white glove delivery.

Returns & warranty

You have 30 days from delivery to initiate a return. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Return shipping and restocking fees (typically ~20%) are the customer's responsibility. Outright returns on shipped orders incur a 25% cancellation fee plus return shipping costs.

Inspect your item upon delivery. Any damage must be reported with photos within 24 hours to support@independentlivingdirect.com. Not all products are eligible for return — this varies by manufacturer.

The EV Rider Transport 4M is a compact folding mobility scooter built for active seniors who want mobility independence without giving up safety features. At 55 lbs, it is one of the lightest four-wheel folding scooters available, and it still comes equipped with a front steering sensor that automatically reduces speed during turns, automatic LED lights, and a digital display. You do not have to choose between portable and capable.

The two-tone rims give it a modern look that does not broadcast medical equipment, and the electronic key means it will not move without you. Folds in seconds for the car or trunk. The adjustable tiller fits a range of heights, and the airline-approved lithium battery is cleared for air travel.

  • Parts and electronics: 1-year limited warranty, repair or replacement at EV Rider's option. Labor not included.
  • Spare parts: 6-month limited warranty from date of sale
  • Battery: Limited warranty subject to wear and tear clause. Defects due to original manufacture are normally apparent within the first 2 months. Gradual deterioration after that period is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered.
