The Selectis Serenity XL 61061 is a wide, digital alternating pressure, low air loss mattress built for larger people. Its 10 inch, two layer air cells give more depth than a standard air mattress, and the digital pump gives caregivers settings for sitting up, turning and transfers. Every size is wider than a standard 36 inch air mattress.

Four sizes match expandable and bariatric bed frames: 42 x 80, 48 x 80, 42 x 84 and 48 x 84 inches. Every size is 10 inches deep and rated for 660 lb. Measure the bed deck before choosing, because the mattress should cover it edge to edge.

61061 digital pump and everyday care

• Four cycle times: choose 10, 15, 20 or 25 minutes between pressure shifts, and set pressure by the person's weight
• Static, max firm and seat inflate: hold the surface steady for transfers, firm it up for repositioning, or add support under the hips when sitting up
• Alarms and CPR valve: lights and sounds flag low pressure, alternation problems or a power failure, and the CPR valve deflates the mattress fast

Rubber panels on the heavy duty bottom cover keep the mattress from sliding on the frame. Quick-release tubing disconnects it from the pump for cleaning or moving. The quilted nylon cover resists fluids, lets moisture vapor through and wipes clean. Set the pump where its hose reaches without pulling, and keep the hose clear of the bed frame as the head and height move. A deeper mattress sits higher on the bed, so check that any rails you use still rise well above the sleep surface.
