Journey Zoomer Folding Mobility Scooter, Lightweight Power Chair 9017BLK

$2,945.00

Zoomer 9017BLK and 9017BLU: a 39.7 lb folding scooter with joystick control and 300 lb capacity

The Journey Zoomer is a folding mobility scooter with joystick control, which Journey sells as a folding power chair. It weighs 39.7 lbs with the battery, folds with one hand and no tools, and comes apart so the heaviest piece is 19 lbs. It holds up to 300 lbs and comes in black or blue. Journey classes it as a personal electric vehicle, not a wheelchair and not a medical device.

Zoomer 9017BLK seat size, weight capacity and folded size

Look at the capacity, the seat and the folded size first.

  • 300 lb weight capacity: The seat is 19 inches wide and 15 inches deep, and 19 inches off the floor. The back is breathable mesh.
  • Folds to 38.75 by 24.25 inches, 11.25 inches high: The fold takes one hand and no tools. It fits in most car trunks and is FAA-compliant for air travel.
  • 39.7 lbs with the battery, 35.7 lbs without: Journey's FAQ gives 42 lbs with the battery, so allow for that when you lift it. The chair also comes apart in sections for carrying.

Unfolded, the Zoomer is 32.5 inches long, 24.25 inches wide and 34.75 inches high.

Zoomer 9017BLK joystick, range and daily use

A joystick and a low top speed keep it controllable in tight rooms.

  • A joystick that works from either hand: The controller reverses for the left or right hand. It has five speed settings, a horn and a battery display.
  • Up to 9.3 miles at 3.7 mph: The 24V lithium battery charges in about 4 to 4.5 hours. Plan a long outing around the charger.
  • A 35.5 inch turning radius: Journey lists it for 25 inch doorways and for pulling under tables.
  • Solid tires and a floating footrest: The 7 inch front and 10 inch rear tires are solid, so there is nothing to pump, and the maximum climbing angle is 12 degrees. The footrest moves aside for getting on and off.

Model 9017BLK is black and 9017BLU is blue. Same frame, same size, same capacity. This scooter is delivered directly from the manufacturer to a home address. Orders delivered to a home are not returnable. The manufacturer warranty applies. Life Doesn't Stop. Neither Should You.
