The Karman KM-5000 is one of only two lightweight reclining wheelchairs available in the US. At 36 lbs it is the lightest full recliner wheelchair on the market at its price point, built from 6061 T-6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The backrest reclines from 90 degrees to 163 degrees, allowing users to fully offload pressure from the sacrum and coccyx throughout the day. Anti-tippers are included standard. The transport model (KM-5000-TP) uses smaller 14 in rear wheels for compact folding and easy vehicle transport.

Shipping information
Free curbside shipping on all orders to the contiguous United States. Most orders ship within 1-5 business days and are delivered within 5-8 business days after shipment (estimated 6-13 business days total). You will receive tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse. If you don't receive tracking within 6 business days, contact us at support@independentlivingdirect.com.
We also offer Threshold Delivery (porch or garage) and White Glove Delivery (room of choice, minor assembly, packaging removal) for an additional charge.
Returns & warranty
You have 30 days from delivery to initiate a return. Items must be unused and in original packaging. Return shipping and restocking fees (typically ~20%) are the customer's responsibility. Outright returns on shipped orders incur a 25% cancellation fee plus return shipping costs.
